Channel 4's Jon Snow will chair a conference on transport policy, organised by Sustrans with The Climate Group, on 12 September at Churchill College, Cambridge.

Speakers and breakout group leaders include Graham Smith, Chair of LowCVP and Managing Director of Toyota, Prof David Begg, Director of the Centre for Transport Policy, Tony Grayling of ippr, Brenda Boardman of the Environmental Change Institute, Stephen Joseph of Transport2000 and John Mumford of BP (also a LowCVP Board member). The LowCVP will be exhibiting at the event.

Delegates attending the conference - which is entitled: 'Driven to Extinction: how transport policy can save the world' - will be invited to take part in a debate on how transport can contribute to the 2050 target of a the 60% carbon reduction.

The delegate fee ranges from £199 to £299, depending on the nature of the organisation represented.
