The UK Government will host an Environmentally Friendly Vehicle Conference at the National Motorcycle Museum near Birmingham on 10 and 11 November 2005, as part of the UK's G8 and EU presidencies. The Conference will include a limited exhibition opportunity and LowCVP members are invited to apply.

This will be a high profile international event, chaired by Alistair Darling the Transport Secretary. Confirmed speakers include Ralf Nagel, State Secretary of Transport in Germany, Jean-Martin Folz and Dr Alan Lloyd, Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency. Around 250 senior international officials, representatives of Government and NGOs are expected to attend. (Attendance is by invitation only.)

The conference will include an opportunity for those both within and outside the motor industry to demonstrate how they are driving the greener vehicles of the future. SMMT are to host an exhibition featuring the vehicles of today, technologies of tomorrow and displays from companies and organisations committed to cutting emissions from road transport.

There is limited space at the exhibition, so potential applicants need to act quickly.
