The Freight Portal

Project Summary

Zemo has played a key role supporting the development of the new Freight Portal, created by Energy Saving Trust in partnership with ourselves and the Department for Transport.

The portal provides freight operators with easy to access help and advice on lowering costs and emissions, supporting the UK Government’s Transport Decarbonisation Plan; with information and guidance to help meet the industry-wide voluntary target for reducing HGV greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by 2025.

Objectives

  • To develop new content to highlight the emissions saving potential of renewable fuels and the rapidly expanding availability of zero-emission vans and HGVs.    

Actions and Achievements

  • Zemo, with appropriate expert member assistance, to develop content for the Freight Portal.
  • Zemo to promote the Freight Portal through industry events.

Timeline

  • New content development work by end November 2022.
  • Promotional opportunities throughout 2022/23.
