The UK has a strong research and development capability in both the private and public sector. In the vehicle technology sector this has been harnessed to help support a growth agenda. The objective of this project will be to ensure R,D&D in transport energy helps drive growth and develop UK capabilities required to deliver GHG savings, sustainability and jobs in transport energy. The LowCVP, working with the fuels and automotive sectors, has developed a suite of roadmaps covering vehicle technology, fuels and infrastructure.
The LowCVP will support funding bodies including: EPSRC, Innovate UK and Horizon 2020 to shape future calls in support of developments in transport energy.
LowCVP members and the wider stakeholder community will be surveyed to develop recommendations for future funding calls.
LowCVP staff and members will provide expert advice to funding bodies in the development of funding calls.
Support EPSRC and Innovate UK workshops to shape future calls.
To provide regular recommendations for areas for support to each major funding body thereby seeking to influence potential future calls.
