In a new year reshuffle the Prime Minister has changed the ministerial teams at both DfT and BEIS. While Jesse Norman MP retains responsibility at DfT for most of the transport and environment agenda (including electric and autonomous vehicles), new minister Nusrat Ghani (pictured) now takes responsibility for buses and taxis. Jo Johnson MP also joins DfT as minister of state, responsible mainly for rail-related issues; Baroness Sugg also joins as Parliamentary Under-Secretary.

Meanwhile, at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, new minister Sam Gyimah MP will take responsibility for innovation and technology (amongst other responsibilities); Lord Henley will take on local growth (including the Northern Powerhouse). Claire Perry MP is the lead minister responsible for Energy and Clean Growth, while Greg Clark MP remains as Secretary of State. Andrew Griffiths MP also join the Department and Richard Harrington MP remains a minister, having been appointed after the General Election in 2017.
