Within the university, we are actively researching low carbon automotive technologies. In particular, we are currently researching: - the impact of the introduction of hybrid buses on the local air pollution - developing low fidelity models to quickly assess hybrid vehicle technologies - the combination of low-temperature combustion and biofuel blends to reduce emissions from future diesel engines - the use of driving simulators to assess the impact of driver behaviour on real-world emissions from passenger vehicles.

The acceptance of so many significant changes in technology have mainly been driven and brought about by the dedication of the LowCVP.
