The LowCVP which was established in 2003, is a public-private partnership that exists to accelerate a sustainable shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and create opportunities for UK business. Nearly 200 organisations are engaged from diverse backgrounds including automotive and fuel supply chains, vehicle users, academics, environment groups and others.

We are the Trade Association for the LPG industry in the UK LPG or autogas when used as a transport fuel brings about a 20% carbon reduction compared with petrol and a small advantage over diesel which is increasing as diesel vehicles introduce Diesel particulate filters and NOx reduction strategies at the expense of their CO2 emissions

Reseach & Development

The industry has invested over 50m to craete by far the largest alternative fuel refuelling network in the UK with over 1300 public access refueling points available. In addition we opetae the LPGA Approved Installer Scheme with a nationwide network of around 200 installers to convert vehicles to run on LPG.
