  • UK Bus Summit 2017

    The third annual UK Bus Summit will be held in London at the QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, supported by the Department for Transport. 

  • Cenex will be hosting a free-to-attend evening Networking Drinks Reception in Nottingham on Tuesday 7th February 2017 at Nottingham Contemporary (supported by Nottingham Go Ultra Low). The event is for anyone from the public or private sector who operates vehicles in and around Nottingham City and will provide opportunities to network with fellow fleet and vehicle operators, as well as representatives from Local Government, to discuss the various issues and opportunities that clean air zones pose for local businesses and logistics operators. This event will provide support and advice on how best to prepare for changes, and offer opportunities to share best practice and learning.

  • This event will showcase how WMG can support small firms to implement practical digital solutions to increase productivity and efficiency, and cut costs. It features a key note address from Chris White MP, talks from innovative companies who have already begun their digital journey including, and workshops run by WMG experts in cyber security, digital manufacturing, simulation tools and supply chain strategy.

  • This seminar will assess opportunities for UK transport to integrate new technologies, utilise big data and the policy requirements for the integration of autonomous vehicles and transformation of transport systems.

    Following the conclusion of evidence presented to the Science and Technology Committee’s Autonomous vehicles inquiry, the recent announcement in the Autumn Statement of £390 million investment in future transport technology, and with the Modern Transport Bill due to be introduced in early-2017 that will include further measures to increase investment in the next generation of transport, discussion is expected on next steps and implementation for innovative transport technology in the 21st Century. 

  • The environmental impact of transport within Europe is increasing due to increased mobility of people and goods. Products for example can be designed in one country, manufactured in another and sold in all European countries while people can live and work in any Member State of the EU. To reduce this environmental impact, the Ecovehicle project is developing the concept of road and rail vehicles with a low environmental footprint and aiming to define a classification for vehicles in order to promote those that are environmentally friendly. 

  • International EV Batteries 2016 will address the critical challenges being faced by electric vehicle OEMs globally. Attendees will take away the latest innovations from Asia, Europe and North America in battery management, modular design, range extension, battery testing and pack integration.

The Driverless Technology Conference (DTC’16) focuses on accelerating growth within driverless technology and maintaining the UK’s position at the forefront of industry development.
