Electrification of Bus Fleets - Fast Opportunity Charging in France

This webinar will discuss Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects in France that are using electric buses with pantograph fast opportunity charging, focusing on Aix en Provence operations, in partnership with Irizar eMobility, bus operator RDT13 and connections and infrastructure provider Jema Energy.

  • Route planning of EVs with BRT
  • Rollout of pantograph charging infrastructure
  • Infrastructure challenges and solutions
  • Passenger and driver experience

The workshop is aimed at local authorities and fleet operators who are interested in understanding how opportunity charging can support routes with high daily mileages within longer operating days.

Speakers include:

  • Celia Charrier – Operations Director, RDT13
  • Miriam Azurmendi – Charging Stations Manager, Jema Energy
  • Alberto González Pizarro – Commercial Director, Irizar eMobility
  • Shaun Millar - Business Development Manager, Irizar UK

Discussions will include how opportunity charging with pantographs reduces the need for large batteries, reducing costs and battery replacement.

Attendees will be able to ask questions and copy of the slides will be shared after the meeting.
