Biomethane as a Transport Fuel

There is growing interest in using natural gas and biomethane for transport under the Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation. According to the Natural Gas Vehicle Association there are already 1.2 million NGVs in use across the European Union.  In the UK there are over 700 gas-powered HGVs operated by leading household brands and many more lighter delivery vehicles running on natural gas.

  • the financial incentives for biomethane and renewable transport
  • the technology and the processes involved in producing green gas and connecting to the UK’s gas distribution network the environmental performance of gas vehicles ? the current status and future roll out of compressed natural gas fuelling
  • how to benefit from the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation
