There is a global imperative to reduce CO2 emissions, in particular from road transport.
With ever increasing demands for performance and functionality placed on vehicles, to achieve this objective will require new ideas, solutions and innovations. Achieving or exceeding 80g CO2/km from main-stream passenger cars and similar light goods vehicles will be a major step towards sustainable future transport.

In this, the first Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Technology Challenge, we sought close to market technologies that could significantly contribute to this target.
