Main areas of involvement in the low carbon transport agenda

Flybrid Systems is the developer of high-speed flywheel based kinetic energy recovery systems. These systems are suited to all forms of short term storage and are small, light, powerful and low cost in volume production.

Current or future activities / projects / initiatives in which Flybrid Systems LLP is involved in to encourage low carbon transport.

The company is involved in the design, development, manufacture, assembly, testing and support of kinetic energy recovery systems for road and racing cars. The technology is currently at the rig test demonstration stage and a system meeting the 2009 Formula One regulations has been demonstrated. This system delivers 60 kW, 400 kJ of useable storage and weighs just 25 kg.
