Main areas of involvement in the low carbon transport agenda

Provecta Car Plan is an innovative fleet funding provider and our involvement in the low carbon transport agenda is in assisting both individuals and business in being accountable for the vehicles they select and therefore the emissions they produce. Lower emissions vehicles generally result in lower running costs, which is to the benefit of both individuals and employers. Provecta are committed to assisting companies and their drivers in setting sustainable car policies.

Current or future activities / projects / initiatives in which Provecta Car Plan Ltd is involved in to encourage low carbon transport.

Provecta are the UK’s leading supplier of Employee Car Ownership (ECO) schemes. ECO schemes are specifically designed to place control around the cash allowances that are given in lieu of a company car. Because of the ‘ethic of ownership’ drivers tend to select more economical vehicles than their previous company car as the running costs directly impact their pocket. The CO2 output of ECO cars can be further influenced by the employer, and we are now encouraging clients to introduce limits on the CO2 emissions of vehicles in their fleets. Some go even further and actively incentivise drivers to choose cars with lower CO2 than their benchmark company car. This all contributes to a combined average CO2 for ECO cars that is equivalent, if not less than company cars, and is dropping all the time.
