How To Enter

Eligibility

The awards are open to any UK business, organisation or individual that has made a significant contribution to accelerating the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels or reducing road transport greenhouse gas emissions through other approaches. You don’t have to be a LowCVP member to enter.

International activities are eligible if these were also conducted in or have directly benefited the UK.

Awards will be granted for outstanding activities undertaken principally during 2010 and 2011. In order for an award to be made the judges must be of the opinion it is of an appropriate standard and demonstrates an excellent example of activity in the sector.

Entry Process

Entries can be submitted using the online form or by downloading the entry form and emailing it to secretariat@lowcvp.org.uk.

Entries must be made electronically on the relevant entry form and be submitted by Friday, 30 September 2011.

The entry form comprises of four questions:

• What (or who) is being entered and what outcomes have been achieved?
• What is innovative about the approach(es) that have been adopted?
• What has / is being done to disseminate the outcomes and achievements and encourage wider take-up?
• What other activities is your organisation involved in to reduce environmental impacts and what future plans do you have? (For the Outstanding Individual - What personal commitment has the entrant shown and what future plans do they have?)

These should be completed with reference to the four judging criteria provided for each award which are listed here.

The entry form should be no longer than 1250 words. In addition you may provide up to five sides of additional information including pictures and other supporting documentation. Supporting information will be considered at the judges’ discretion, core information about the entry should be provided on the entry form.
