Many organisations, such as Business Link, provide useful advice on securing loans and overdrafts. Some Regional Development Agencies are also able to provide business loans to qualifying organisations.

As an example, the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme is particularly suitable for early stage businesses. It allows businesses that might not otherwise qualify for loans from a commercial bank to receive loans from certain banks that are secured by the Government.
