The Biofuels East 2010 conference will focus on the prospects for collaborative projects between academia and industry in nurturing the global development of low carbon biofuels.
The Biofuels Research Gap Analysis produced by DEFRA and DfT listed many key questions to be addressed in terms of moves to develop sustainable biofuels production.
The Biofuels East 2010 Conference will provide the opportunity to:
- Assess the political landscape in Europe and in the UK, with particular regards to the carbon footprint and sustainability of biofuels and legislative targets.
- Examine the challenges and opportunities in terms of perennial crops, aquatic biomass, lignocellulosic residues, selected waste streams and bio-and thermo-chemical processes.
- Understand the R&D strategy for biofuels in the UK, identify possible funding opportunities and connect with companies and academic groups interested in collaborative projects.
