The Only Truly Sustainable Biofuel?

Date: 15 December 2009
The one biofuel which ticks all the right sustainability boxes is biodiesel produced from locally collected, used cooking oil, which takes material out of the waste stream and turns it into a valuable fuel resource while strengthening the local economy at the same time. As part of a European-funded project involving 17 partners in 10 different countries, Energy Solutions are hosting a workshop on the morning of Tuesday 15th December 2009, concluding with lunch, to examine the practicalities of locally produced biodiesel and to introduce existing London-based producers. The workshop is aimed at public, private and voluntary sector fleet managers as well as those concerned with waste and recycling and the decarbonisation of the transport sector.
