This conference, organised by the Environmental Industries Commission, brings together key players in Government and industry to discuss the practicalities of making the Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation (RTFO) work and the likely future trends in policy.

The Transport Minister, Dr Stephen Ladyman, will provide the keynote address. Speakers also include leading government officials and biofuel entrepreneurs who will speak on issues including: The policy framework in Europe and the UK for supporting transport biofuels; The details of the RTFO mechanism; The impact of the RTFO on carbon emissions and sustainability;  Beyond 2010 – the long term policy
and commercial trends for biofuels.

The event will include interactive discussion sessions on all the key issues for the RTFO to give delegates an opportunity both to understand and to influence its design at this key stage.
