A two-day international conference focusing on low carbon powertrain technology and policies needed to speed its introduction will take place at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, London, on 6th/7th November.
The Conference will address the low carbon agenda from energy supply through to product strategies and technologies. This will include sessions on:
- Energy demand and fuel availability
- Alternatives to fossil fuels & supply issues
- Future government targets and regulatory drivers
- Future product strategies
- Innovations in combustion engines and transmissions
- Potential for alternative powertrains to be cost effective
Keynote presentations and papers will be given by senior representatives from leading global automotive companies, fuel companies and regional government, offering views from Europe, USA and Japan. A panel of industry and government experts will also discuss key themes emerging from the conference.
The conference is being organised by a senior team from Shell, Nissan, Ricardo and both City and Brighton Universities.
