Greg Archer (chair of judges)
Greg Archer has been Managing Director of the LowCVP since 2004. Greg is a Chartered Chemist with wide ranging experience in environmental: policy, research, business and programme management. He has extensive experience in climate change, air quality and environmental risk assessment and sustainable development practice and policy.
Philip Sellwood, EST, LowCVP Board Member
Philip Sellwood has been the Chief Executive of the Energy Saving Trust since 2003. During the last 15 years he has undertaken work with the DTI/Defra, for an educational charity and as Ministerial Advisor at the Home Office. He is currently a Non-Executive Director at the Improvement and Development Agency. Philip also sits on the Editorial Board of Sustain magazine, is a member of the UKERC (UK Energy Research Centre) and sits on the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Board.
Antonia Roberts, Director, CarPlus, LowCVP Board Member
Antonia Roberts is Director of Carplus. She has played an integral role in the development of the charity since its inception in 2000. Antonia takes a lead in the dissemination of best practice of car clubs and car sharing within the organisation. She also set up the Car Club Accreditation Scheme which encompasses a comprehensive data collection and survey system for the industry.
Sally Gold, Head of Social Investment & Sponsorship, Shell
Sally is head of social investment and sponsorship at Shell in the UK. Her portfolio includes the management of the Shell Springboard programme – providing no-strings cash awards to low carbon businesses and Shell Livewire, a programme for young entrepreneurs which re-launched last year and now numbers 105,000 members. It is the UK’s biggest online source of information for young entrepreneurs. Previous roles at Shell were in the supply chain and marketing in the Lubricants business.
Shona Johnstone, Cambridgeshire County Council, LowCVP Board Member
Shona Johnstone was, until recently, Cambridgeshire County Council's Cabinet Member responsible for environment and transport issues and has been a champion of road safety and integrated transport schemes. She was at the forefront of the campaign to upgrade the heavily congested A14 between Huntingdon and Cambridge and is a member of the LGA Regeneration and Transport Board. Shona worked for 10 years as a civil servant for both the Home Office and the Serious Fraud Office.
Emma Stranack, DfT
Emma Stranack is Head of Marketing & Channels at the Department for Transport with responsibility for THINK! road safety campaigns, the transport element of the Act on CO2 campaign, the corporate website and social media channels and the print and publishing team. With 15 years’ experience in marketing and strategic communications, Emma has worked in Government communications for 6 years including at the Home Office on crime, policing and immigration and the Ministry of Justice on criminal law and the judiciary. Prior to that, she worked for a range of advertising, PR and sponsorship agencies with national and international clients such as the Co-operative Group, Coca Cola, American Express, Nestle and Nationwide.
